Job summary

Trinity Health FirstChoice seeks a Travel RN for the ED/Med Surg float role in Des Moines, IA. The position offers premium pay, a flexible schedule, and travel/per diem opportunities across multiple sites within the health system.

Responsibilities include floating to various units, providing patient-centered care, and collaborating with stakeholders to maintain high-quality outcomes. Requires RN licensure and relevant experience; AC LS/PALS may be required per specialty.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid RN licensure in applicable state(s).
• Minimum 18 months of recent Med Surg/Tele/PCU experience; 2+ years for Specialty areas including CC, ED, Surgical, Maternal, Behavioral Health.
• Credentials required per specialty (e.g., ACLS, TNCC, PALS); BLS/ACLS/PALS must be AHA-certified.

Responsibilities

• Float throughout hospital and/or multiple locations/regions.
• Apply standard nursing process: Assess, Identify outcomes, Plan, Implement, Evaluate.
• Work independently within licensure and scope of practice.
• Maintain accountability for delegation and decisions; ensure quality outcomes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support quality improvement.
• Adapt to new roles and priorities while embracing new ideas.
