Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for the Night shift in the Emergency Department at a Level I Trauma Center in New Haven, CT. Requires CT or compact RN license and trauma experience; 1.5–2 years ED experience preferred. 48 hours/week on 12-hour nights, with potential cross-campus assignments.

Responsibilites include ED coverage, charting in Epic EMR, and maintaining a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio. Travel pay details and stipends apply; housing and licensure reimbursements may be provided.

Qualifications

• Active CT or compact RN license required.
• Minimum 1.5 years ED experience at a large trauma center; 2 years preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications.
• Trauma Center experience at a large facility is required.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of a Level I Trauma Center.
• Night shift schedule: 4x12 hour shifts, 19:00–07:00.
• Nurse-to-patient ratio averages 1:6 during days and nights.
• Cross-train and float to other campuses as needed within scope.
• Travelers do not work in trauma/rescue rooms, triage, or locked behavioral health units.
• Charting is done using Epic EMR.
