Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced registered nurse for an Emergency Department travel assignment at a Level 1 Trauma Center. PA or Compact RN licensure and at least 1 year of ER experience are required.

The role features a 40-bed ED, night shifts 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, and a schedule with every-other-weekend work. Benefits include health insurance, housing allowance, and travel-related reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (PA or Compact) required.
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• CEN certification preferred.
• Trauma or critical care experience preferred.
• AHA certifications required.
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration.
• Active Nursys licensure verification required at time of consideration.

Responsibilities

• Level 1 Trauma Center Emergency Department with 40 beds.
• Treats all patient populations including adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients.
• Patient ratio of 1:6.
• Uses EPIC EHR system.
• Night shift 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Weekend work every-other-weekend.
• No on-call requirements.
• No floating required.
• Provide emergency nursing care across a wide range of patient populations and acuities.
• Work alongside a collaborative, team-oriented nursing staff.
• Scrub color is flexible with no specific requirement.
• No holiday RTO permitted during this assignment.
• Must complete PA clearances, including Child Abuse History Clearance, fingerprinting, and PATCH State Police Clearance, prior to start.
• Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays.
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for the travel rate.
• Previous perm staff employment with LifePoint facility within the last 12 months is not permitted.
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time during the assignment.
