Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in the Myrtle Beach area. The role requires at least 1 year of ED experience and ACLS/PALS certification, with Nursys verification due within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities include providing patient-centered care in a hospital ED, rotating shifts, and potentially serving as charge nurse. TNCC and NIH Stroke Scale are preferred qualifications.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (SC or Compact) currently in hand.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA only).
• TNCC and NIH Stroke Scale certifications preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department experience required.
• Nursys verification required within 30 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting.
• 13-week assignment.
• Shifts rotate between 7:00 AM-7:30 PM and 9:00 AM-9:00 PM.
• Assess, plan, and provide individualized nursing care based on patient history, observation, and diagnostic data.
• Conduct hourly rounds and maintain a compassionate, patient-centered environment.
• Care for central lines, foley catheters, pressure ulcers, ventilators, and fall-risk patients using standard protocols.
• May serve as charge nurse when assigned, requiring appropriate resuscitative certification.
• Precept novice staff and contribute to departmental evidence-based practice initiatives.
