Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing seeks a Travel ED Registered Nurse to join our partner hospital in Lewiston, Maine. The role covers night shifts on the Emergency Department and offers a 12‑week assignment with weekly pay.

Expect direct patient care as needed to maintain safe staffing levels and support ED operations. Required qualifications include an active RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and at least one year of ED experience in acute care.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained.
• PALS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained.
• Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital ED setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversees ED operations and nursing staff during assigned shifts; ensures safe, high‑quality patient care and regulatory compliance.
• Manages staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments.
• Supervises, coaches, and supports staff development.
• Assists with performance management and HR‑related activities.
• Monitors supplies, equipment, and unit readiness; coordinates patient flow, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Addresses patient care concerns and escalates issues as needed.
• Rounds with patients and families to support a positive experience.
• Provides direct patient care when needed to maintain safe staffing levels.

Pay: up to $672-$768 gross pay per shift; equivalent to $56.00 - $64.00 per hour.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Current and valid state RN License
• Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, E.D. setting required.
• PALS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, E.D. setting required.

Pay Transparency

Premiere Healthcare Staffing offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $56.00 to $64.00. This compensation estimate is specific to Maine and has not been adjusted for any other geographic location. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
