Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer with 2+ years of experience for an Echocardiography unit, requiring RDCS and RVT certifications and vascular imaging experience.

Details

• Acute care setting within a Level 2 trauma facility, Echocardiography department
• Department has 4 scanner rooms with no float requirement to other areas
• Performs echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, TEEs, and vascular exams including carotid, venous, and arterial studies (upper and lower)
• Average of 25-30 scans/studies per day for the lab
• Uses Philips imaging equipment and McKesson/CHC EMR/PACS system, with EPIC also used for charting
• 8-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Call requirement approximately once a week
• Weekend call required every 5th-6th weekend
• One holiday call requirement

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in sonography required
• BLS certification required
• RDCS certification required
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification via ARDMS required
• Vascular imaging experience required
• Active state or compact (NLC) license required for state of submission, if applicable
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Additional Information

• Works alongside an in-house cardiologist
• Purple scrubs required and not provided by facility
• Candidates may not have been directly employed by any CommonSpirit-associated facility, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year; PRN employment through outside firms will be considered
