Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a travel Echo Technologist for a 15-week assignment in Fairfax, Virginia. The role covers pediatric and congenital echocardiography across NICU, PICU, and Cardiac ICU, with 40 hours per week and a dayshift (8:00 AM–5:00 PM). ARDMS certification and at least 1 year of pediatric sonography are required.

The assignment uses Philips echo equipment, Epic EMR, and PACS Fuji Synapse. Start date Oct 5, 2026; no on-call and holidays off. Travel benefits and stipends apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of pediatric sonography experience.
• ARDMS certification and BLS required.
• Fetal echo experience encouraged; adult/congenital echo exposure preferred.
• Experience with ECMO procedures and bedside weans requested.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiographic studies across fetal, pediatric, and adult congenital cases.
• Assist with bedside ECMO weans and catheter placement.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure proper logging and billing of procedures.
• Provide written communications to cardiologists and care teams.
• Participate in a 4-scanner NICU/PICU/Cardiac ICU environment.
