Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure proper logging and billing of procedures.
• Provide written communications to cardiologists and care teams.
• Participate in a 4-scanner NICU/PICU/Cardiac ICU environment.

Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with at least 1 year of pediatric sonography experience and ARDMS certification for a role spanning fetal, pediatric, and adult congenital echocardiography.

Details

• Work across NICU, PICU, and Cardiac ICU units with 4 scanners available
• Perform echocardiographic studies spanning fetal congenital (22+ weeks), pediatric heart disease, and adult congenital echocardiography
• Assist with bedside ECMO weans and catheter placement
• Uses Philips echo equipment, Epic EMR, and PACS Fuji CV Synapse
• 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM shift schedule
• No on-call requirements
• Closed on major holidays

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in pediatric sonography required
• BLS and ARDMS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Registry in Pediatric Echocardiography preferred
• Extensive understanding of congenital and unusual forms of non-congenital heart disease required
• Experience with ECMO procedures, bedside ECMO weans, and catheter placement required
• Fetal echo experience encouraged
• Adult echo experience a plus
