Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with pediatric and adult experience for a Level 1 Trauma Hospital setting in New Jersey.

The role requires BLS, ARDMS/CCI registration, Epic EMR experience, and NJ licensing if applicable, with a Monday–Friday schedule 8:00 AM–4:30 PM and a focus on ASE/ICAEL standards.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification (AHA only, ARC not accepted).
• Registered through ARDMS or CCI.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Experience working at a large Level 1 Trauma Hospital.
• Pediatric and adult echo experience required.
• Active NJ license required if applicable (pending license not accepted).
• Ability to prepare patients and explain procedures.
• Ability to navigate electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Cardiovascular Services department performing cardiac ultrasound testing
• Pediatric and adult patient population
• Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Performs cardiac ultrasound tests including stress echo and transesophageal echo in accordance with American Society of Echocardiography and ICAEL standards
• Uses digital ultrasound equipment
• Documents in Epic EMR
• Performs cardiac ultrasound testing for population-specific groups within scheduled timeframes
• Demonstrates full knowledge of cardiac ultrasound techniques and digital ultrasound equipment usage
• COVID vaccination plus 1 booster required, with religious exemptions accepted
• Candidates residing in New Jersey are considered local and accepted at a lower rate
