Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Travel Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for a travel assignment in Cape May, New Jersey. The candidate must be ARDMS or CCI registered and have Epic EMR experience, with NJ licensure. Start date is 11/09/2026 for a 13-week engagement.

Expect 40 hours per week, 10-hour days, Monday–Friday with rotational weekends. The role takes place at a large Level 1 Trauma hospital and requires on-call duties for weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification required (AHA only).
• ARDMS or CCI registration is mandatory.
• Active NJ license is required (pending license not accepted).
• Experience at a large Level 1 Trauma hospital is required.
• Ability to explain procedures and navigate an EMR.

Responsibilities

• Performs cardiac ultrasound tests including stress echo and transesophageal echo.
• Work in a large Level 1 Trauma hospital setting.
• Schedule: Monday–Friday with rotational weekends; 10-hour shifts 9:00 AM–7:30 PM.
• On-call rotation weekends/holidays; Epic EMR experience required.

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with Epic experience and ARDMS or CCI registration for a role at a large Level 1 Trauma hospital.

• Performs cardiac ultrasound tests including stress echocardiograms and transesophageal echocardiograms
• Large Level 1 Trauma hospital setting
• Schedule is Monday through Friday with rotational weekends, 10-hour shifts from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM

Requirements

• Demonstrates full knowledge of cardiac ultrasound and digital ultrasound equipment usage
• Ability to prepare patients and explain procedures
• Ability to navigate an electronic medical record

Additional Information

• Performs testing in accordance with American Society of Echocardiography and ICAEL standards
• Completes daily scheduled tests within appropriate time frames for population‑specific groups
• COVID‑19 vaccination plus one booster required (religious exemptions accepted)
