Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Travel Echo Technologist in Fairfax, VA, performing pediatric and fetal echocardiography across NICU/PICU/CVIC settings. You will operate 4 scanners, use Epic EMR and Fuji Synapse, and cover a 40-hour week on days with no on-call or weekends.

Pediatric echocardiography knowledge and ECMO exposure are valued. The role includes bedside ECMO assistance, charting, and collaboration with cardiologists.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of pediatric sonography experience
• BLS and ARDMS required
• License required if applicable
• Registry in Pediatric Echocardiography preferred
• Experience with ECMO procedures including bedside weans and catheter placement
• Extensive understanding of congenital and unusual forms of heart disease
• Fetal echo experience encouraged
• Adult echo experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist with bedside ECMO weans and catheter placement
• Recognize and triage emergent situations
• Provide written communication to cardiologists
• Maintain equipment and perform logging and billing of procedures
• 1-2 week orientation provided
• Caribbean Blue scrubs required

Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer with pediatric sonography experience and ECMO procedure knowledge for a pediatric cardiac care setting.

Details

• Utilizes 4 scanners with Philips floor equipment
• Performs echocardiographic studies across fetal congenital (22+ weeks), pediatric heart disease, and adult congenital echocardiography
• Covers NICU, PICU, and Cardiac ICU
• Uses Epic EMR and PACS Fuji CV Synapse
• 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM shift schedule
• No weekend expectations
• No on-call requirements
• Closed on major holidays

Requirements
