Job summary

Flagstar Nursing is seeking a travel Echo Technician for a 13-week assignment in Seattle, Washington. This role requires performing transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) and assisting with transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), using ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality cardiac images.

This position involves collaboration with cardiologists and nursing staff, ensuring patient comfort and diagnostic accuracy.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Cardiovascular Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Echo Technician.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology.

Responsibilities

• Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) with precision to assist in accurate cardiac assessments.
• Support and assist with transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) procedures as required.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality, diagnostic cardiac images.
• Analyze preliminary imaging results and collaborate with physicians to ensure diagnostic accuracy.
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process clearly and reassuringly, ensuring their comfort and understanding.
• Monitor patient condition throughout procedures, responding promptly to any physiological changes.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies.
• Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of echocardiography equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate effectively with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare team members to deliver coordinated patient care.
• Follow all safety protocols and infection control standards to maintain a secure clinical environment.
