Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer for a hospital-based imaging role in North Carolina. Requires 2+ years of experience and RDCS/CCI certification. EPIC EMR and Philips equipment experience are required, along with BLS and a valid license.

The position involves 5x8 day shifts, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, Monday–Friday with rotating weekends. Travel, housing allowances, and per diem are provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer
• RDCS or CCI certification required
• BLS certification required
• PACS and Philips equipment experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (two attempts allowed)
• License required if applicable
• Active license must be in hand at time of submission
• Current driver's license required for address verification

Responsibilities

• Perform 2D and 3D echo, TEE, bubble studies, color Doppler, contrast imaging, M-mode, portable studies, RVIT/RVOT assessments, diastology, LV strain/volume, and Simpson's rule calculations
• Use PACS and Philips equipment
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Float across Cone Health facilities as needed
• Perform adult echocardiograms including TEE, bubble studies, and contrast imaging
• Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no local rates apply
• RTO must be submitted with the application; no post-submission RTO accepted
• Third-party education verification required
• No open background check cases permitted
• First-time travelers not specifically addressed
