Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with a minimum of 5 years of experience for a Magnet-designated, Level III Trauma teaching hospital.

Details

• Adult acute care and emergency department setting with pediatric and PICU/Neonate/NICU exposure preferred
• Department scans 75-100 inpatient and outpatient echoes per day
• Day shift schedule, Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (5x8 hours)
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Potential to float within scope to meet facility needs, including to affiliate hospitals nearby
• Uses Siemens and Philips scanners, PACS, and Syngo systems
• Charting system is Epic/Excellian

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience required in echo/cardiac sonography
• BLS and RDCS-Adults required; RDCS-Peds preferred
• CCI RCS or RDCS required (not all three needed)
• ARDMS RDCS PE certification preferredInpatient and ER work setting experience required
• Outpatient, teaching hospital, PICU, neonate, and NICU experience preferred
• Proficiency in portable echo studies and Syngo required
• Experience with IV starts, PACS, and biopsies preferred
• Required echo procedures: 3-D Echo, Bubble Study, Contrast Agents, M-Mode, Pharmacologic Stress Echo, RIT/RVOT, TEE, and Treadmill Stress Echo
• License required if applicable
• Pending state license accepted

Additional Information

• Facility is a Magnet-designated, teaching, Level III Trauma short-term acute care hospital with 672 staffed beds
• Grey scrub color required
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this role
• Returning staff must have been gone a minimum of 3 months from their last shift as perm staff or per diem
• RTO should ideally be no more than 5 days
• Local candidates accepted only for radiology positions; all other positions have a 100-mile radius restriction
• One supervisor reference required at minimum
