Job summary

Quik Travel Staffing is seeking a Chronic Dialysis Technician (PCT) to assess patient responses to dialysis therapy and adjust treatments as directed by physicians. Candidates should have 1+ year of dialysis experience and current CCHT/BONENT certification, plus Nebraska state certification or the ability to apply.

BLS and ACLS are required for specified settings. The role requires willingness to travel to assignment locations and to meet the facilitys schedule.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of recent experience as a dialysis technician.
• Current dialysis certification in good standing (CCHT or BONENT).
• Current Nebraska state dialysis certification in good standing or you can apply once submitted.
• BLS certification required (Chronic and Acute settings).
• ACLS certification required (Acute setting only).

• Assesses patient response to dialysis therapy.
• Makes adjustments to treatment plans as directed by supervisors or physician.
• Assessment and documentation of patient pre, interim, and post dialysis findings.
• Administers medications as ordered to assigned patients.

Job Description - Chronic Dialysis Technician (PCT)

• Assesses patient response to dialysis therapy.
• Makes appropriate adjustments and modifications to treatment plans as indicated/directed by supervisors or prescribed by the physician.
• Assessment of patient pre, interim, and post dialysis and documentation of findings.
• Administers medications as ordered to assigned patients.
• Assesses educational needs of patient and educating the patient and family regarding end stage renal disease, dialysis therapy, diet and medications.
• Flexibility to travel to the assignment location.
• Availability to work the facility’s required schedule.
• Willingness to complete onboarding items in a timely manner.
• Ability to quickly adapt to new environments and strive for the highest quality of patient care.
• Also referred to as: renal care technician, dialysis technician, dialysis tech.
