Job summary

Quik Travel Staffing is seeking a Chronic Dialysis Technician (PCT) to support our healthcare facility partners on travel assignments. You will assess patient responses to dialysis, adjust treatments under supervision, document findings, and educate patients and families on dialysis care and CKD management.

This role requires 1+ year of dialysis experience, valid CCHT/BONENT and Ohio state certifications, plus BLS (ACLS if applicable). Travel to multiple facilities nationwide is expected.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of recent experience as a dialysis technician
• Current dialysis certification in good standing (CCHT or BONENT)
• Current state of Ohio dialysis certification in good standing or you can apply once submitted
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (as applicable)

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient response to dialysis therapy and adjusts as directed
• Modifies treatment plans per supervisor/physician directives
• Documents patient assessments pre, during, and post dialysis
• Administers medications as ordered to assigned patients
• Educates patient and family on end-stage renal disease, dialysis therapy, diet, and meds
• Willingness to travel to assignment locations and work varied schedules

Job Description - Chronic Dialysis Technician (PCT)

• Assesses patient response to dialysis therapy.
• Makes appropriate adjustments and modifications to treatment plans as indicated/directed by supervisors or prescribed by the physician.
• Assessment of patient pre, interim, and post dialysis and documentation of findings.
• Administers medications as ordered to assigned patients.
• Assesses educational needs of patient and educating the patient and family regarding end stage renal disease, dialysis therapy, diet and medications.
• Flexibility to travel to the assignment location.
• Availability to work the facility’s required schedule.
• Willingness to complete onboarding items in a timely manner.
• Ability to quickly adapt to new environments and strive for the highest quality of patient care.
• Also referred to as: renal care technician, dialysis technician, dialysis tech.
