Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a travel CVOR Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Fort Wayne, IN. This role offers 36 hours per week, 12-hour day shifts, and a chance to work with a dedicated clinical team while delivering high-quality cardiovascular surgical support.

Responsibilities include setting up OR, maintaining sterility, assisting in transporting patients, and collaborating with surgeons and staff to ensure procedural efficiency.

Qualifications

• One year of CVOR surgical tech experience.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ ARC).
• Reading/writing in English required.
• Physical ability to move 50–100 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work with a diverse team.
• Technical/motor skills for instrument handling and passing.
• Mental ability to handle deadlines and maintain focus.
• Visual acuity and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Set up the operating room prior to procedures.
• Stock supplies and inspect equipment for functionality.
• Assist in transporting patients to and from surgery.
• Collaborate with surgeons and team to deliver coordinated care.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments efficiently.
• Handle specimens carefully to maintain diagnostic integrity.
• Maintain sterile fields and comply with infection control standards.
• Use data from surgical cards for procedures and surgical team.
• Maintain proficiency in cardiovascular procedures including heart surgeries.
• Perform other duties within scope and adhere to safety standards.
