Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing seeks a travel CVOR Technologist for a 17-week assignment in Farmington, CT. The role involves 10-hour days, scrubbing and circulating in the CVOR, and supporting open-heart procedures.

Requirements include graduating from an accredited Surgical Technology program or 3 years as a surgical tech, CPR, and CVOR experience (18+ months). Excellent benefits and travel reimbursement are included.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or 3 years recent experience as a surgical technician in an acute care setting.
• Current CPR provider card.
• Minimum eighteen months of CVOR recent experience or completed clinical orientation for open-heart patient population.
• Knowledge of CVOR instrumentation for cardiac procedures.
• CABG and cardiac procedures knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Performs treatments per protocols.
• Scrubs, 2nd circulator, and 3rd person/Heart Holder roles in CVOR.
• Picks supplies for surgeries and sets up instruments.
• Scrubs for surgical procedures and performs instrument/sponge count.
• Obtain specimens and hand to circulating nurse, verify location.
• Supports room turnover and participates in on-call schedule.
