Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a CVOR Technologist for a travel assignment in Altoona, PA. This role runs for 13 weeks with 40 hours per week on day shifts, supporting the OR team in sterile setup, instrument passing, and aseptic patient care.

The position requires 2 years of surgical technology experience, BLS certification, and compliant credentials; CST/TSC certifications are preferred. Travel compensation and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• Program accredited by a nationally recognized institution or maintain certification.
• BLS certification required.
• CST or TSC certification preferred.
• Compliance with PA Acts 31, 33, 34, and 73.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments and sterile equipment.
• Assemble both sterile and non-sterile medical equipment.
• Prepare patients for surgery, including cleansing and aseptic prep.
• Transport and position patients for surgery.
• Pass instruments and sterile supplies to the surgical team during procedures.
• Count sponges, needles, supplies, and instruments.
• Assist in preparation, care for, and disposal of specimens for lab analysis.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment with aseptic techniques.
• Assist in transferring patients to recovery and restock the OR.
