Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a Travel CVOR Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Pomona, New Jersey, starting 10/12/2026. The role offers 40 hours per week, with 10-hour day shifts in the CVOR.

You will scrub and circulate, assist with cardiac procedures including CABG, and support open-heart patient care. Eligibility requires surgical technology training or related experience, current CPR, and CVOR exposure.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or 3 years recent experience working as a surgical technician in an acute care setting.
• Current CPR provider card.
• Minimum of eighteen months of CVOR recent experience or completed clinical orientation specific to open-heart care.
• Knowledge of CVOR instrumentation for cardiac procedures.
• CABG and cardiac procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs treatments per protocols.
• Functions in scrubbing, 2nd circulator, and 3rd person/Heart Holder roles in the CVOR.
• Picks supplies for surgeries, sets up instruments, and scrubs for procedures; performs instrument and sponge counts.
• Obtains specimens and hands over to circulating nurse.
• Facilitates room turnover time.
• Participates in department on-call schedule.
