CVOR Tech

Unit Details

This position is focused on the Cardiovascular/Thoracic, Transplant, and Robotics (Thoracic) specialty.

Work Schedule

• Weekend work is included in call requirements.
• Call schedule consists of 1 day per week and 1 weekend approximately every 4 weeks, subject to change based on departmental needs.
• Floating within the facility will be required, as well as to the Main OR when necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers are accepted.
• Candidates will undergo a clinical screening to assess clinical fit. Successful candidates will then be forwarded to the hiring manager for final consideration.

Time Off

• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off (RTO) permitted.
• Travelers are expected to work major holidays within their assignment period as follows:
  • If one major holiday occurs, the traveler is expected to work it.
  • If two major holidays fall within the assignment, the traveler is expected to work both.
  • If three major holidays fall in the assignment, the traveler is expected to work at least two of them.

• Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
• New Year's Eve/New Year's Day

Compliance

Full compliance is required to ensure timely assignment start dates. Non-compliance may result in a delay of up to 2 weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.

Orientation

Number of non-billable orientation hours is determined by the contract length:

• 8 hours for an 8-week assignment
• 10 hours for a 10-week assignment

Additional Information

Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers.
