Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVICU RN for a night-shift travel assignment in New Bern, North Carolina. The role requires open heart, ECMO, Impella, and balloon pump experience to care for adult and geriatric CVICU patients.

You will work 36 hours per week on a 13-week assignment, with nights 3x12hrs, and must hold NC or compact RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and at least 2 years CVICU experience.

Qualifications

• Active RN license for NC or compact state required.
• Minimum 2 years CVICU experience required.
• Experience caring for post-cardiac surgery patients from OR.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Arterial line, central line care, and blood product administration experience.
• Ventilator management and ABG interpretation experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct post-operative CVICU care in a high-acuity ICU setting.
• Manage ventilators and titrate medications as needed.
• Support float coverage to ED, ICU, and CVIMC as required.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
