Job summary

TotalMed RN in New Bern, NC is seeking a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) travel nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment in New Bern, North Carolina. The role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience and CVICU expertise, with 12-hour night shifts totaling 36 hours per week.

As a CVICU Travel Nurse you will care for post-surgical cardiac patients in a fast-paced environment, perform medications administration, tracing diagnostic data, and educate families on home recovery.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• NIH certification may be required.
• 2 years of acute care experience for CVICU role.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical CVICU care for post-operative cardiac patients.
• Administer medications and monitor hemodynamics.
• Perform diagnostic testing and interpret results as needed.
• Educate patients and families on recovery post-discharge.
