Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a CVICU travel nurse for a travel assignment in Baltimore, MD. The role requires 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and focuses on postoperative cardiovascular care, including open-heart procedures and transplants.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years' recent acute care experience.
• Experience in cardiovascular ICU setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to patients with potentially life-threatening heart conditions.
• Prepare and administer prescribed medications.
• Take samples for diagnostic tests; order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Apply hemodynamic, phlebotomy and IV protocols.
• Be called in for emergencies to provide CPR and operate defibrillators hospital-wide.
• Educate patients and family members on recovery at home.
