Job summary

Nexus MedPro Staffing is seeking an experienced Travel CVICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week assignment in Lubbock, TX. This role centers on critically ill patients in CVICU/Neuro ICU during perioperative and trauma care, with a focus on post‑op cardiac and neuro patients.

You will float across units as needed, handle mechanical ventilation, arterial/central lines, and vasoactive meds, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in CVICU/Neuro ICU.
• Active Texas RN license or compact license in hand at submission.
• Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Experience managing post‑cardiac surgery and neurosurgical patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in CVICU/Neuro ICU.
• Float between units (CVICU, Neuro ICU, Telemetry, Medical‑Surgical) as needed.
• Monitor invasive lines, ventilators, and vasoactive meds; titrate as ordered.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
