Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a CT Technologist for a travel assignment in Clearlake, California. This 13-week contract offers 36 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts at a top healthcare facility.

As a CT Tech you will operate CT equipment, position patients, perform imaging procedures, ensure quality images, and assist radiologists. ARRT CT certification and state licensure are expected, with 18 months of prior CT experience.

Qualifications

• Eighteen months prior experience in a health care setting as a CT Tech.
• Must be ARRT (CT) or ASRT certified.
• Most states require licensure.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Position patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.
• Set controls, monitor equipment and patient, and make adjustments as needed.
• Assist radiologist with imaging procedures, IV placement and contrast injection if applicable.
• Dispense oral contrast for CT scans.
• Assist radiologist with interventional CT procedures.
• Evaluate CT scans for technical quality and label images correctly.
• Schedule patients and perform clerical tasks as needed.
• Charge procedures and supplies to patient records.
• Load and operate power injections for contrast media.
• Provide high-quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner.
• Maintain a safe, patient-focused environment and promote national patient safety initiatives.
