American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a hospital radiology department in New Jersey. The role involves CT scanning, working 4x10 night shifts, and being on-call with potential float to sister facilities. Proficiency with EPIC charting, venipuncture, and contrast protocols is required.

Required ARRT RT(R) and CT certifications, NJ license if applicable, and BLS. Radiographer training plus GE CT experience preferred.

Qualifications

• ARRT RT(R) and ARRT RT(CT) certification required.
• Active NJ State X-Ray License required if applicable.
• BLS certification required, AHA preferred.
• HS diploma/GED and completion of a Radiographer Technical training program required.
• Experience with GE CT scanners preferred.
• Must be competent in venipuncture and emergency response procedures.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based radiology department performing CT scanning.
• Assigned to rooms CT 1, 2, and 3.
• 4x10 hour night shifts, Saturday-Tuesday 8pm-6am.
• On-call required.
• Must be willing to float as needed, including to a sister hospital nearby.
• Uses EPIC for charting.
• Performs venipuncture and power injector protocols for contrast administration.
• Handles emergent cases such as Code Grey and Trauma requiring immediate image processing in PACS/RIS.
• Responsibilities include patient prep, contrast administration monitoring, supply/inventory management, and equipment cleaning and maintenance.
• May be assigned as Point staff to triage procedures, coordinate emergent cases, and manage workflow across the section.
• Communicates with radiologists and nursing staff regarding patient status and any complications.
• Maintains QA/QC requirements per daily, monthly, and ACR specifications.
• Adheres to HIPAA regulations and patient identification protocols.
• Local candidates accepted.
• Travelers may remain on assignment up to one calendar year from the initial start date.
