Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel CT Technologist in York, Maine to provide diagnostic imaging services, operate CT and X-ray equipment, and support radiologists while adhering to safety protocols.

The position is a 13-week contract working three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM–7:30 AM, Thursday through Saturday). A Maine license, ARRT, and BLS are required or pending, with CT licensure within 1 year.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or certificate from an accredited radiologic technology program.
• ARRT certification or registry eligibility, plus a current Maine state license.
• BLS certification obtained within four months of hire and kept current.
• CT license must be obtained within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Position patients accurately for X-ray and CT exams using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.
• Assist radiologists with imaging and interventional procedures, including starting IVs and injecting contrast.
• Evaluate images for quality; ensure they are labeled appropriately and maintain exposure sequence.
• Perform clerical tasks such as charging procedures, documenting patient records, and managing supplies.
• Provide oral contrast to patients and operate power injectors for contrast media.
• Monitor accessory equipment during fluoroscopic and special radiographic procedures.
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety guidelines and departmental protocols.
