Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Richmond, Virginia. The CT Tech will work 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts, performing CT imaging, patient prep, contrast administration, and ensuring high-quality scans for physician interpretation. Requires 1 year CT experience, BLS, ARRT CT certification and any applicable state licensing. Knowledge of McKesson PACS is preferred. TotalMed Allied offers travel benefits and guaranteed hours.

Qualifications

• 1 year of CT experience
• BLS and ARRT (CT) certification
• State-specific licensing when required

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
• Position patients to scan specific areas of their bodies
• Use CT equipment to capture diagnostic images
• Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance visibility
• Evaluate CT scans for technical quality
• Follow safety procedures when working with radiation
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
