Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with ARRT (R)(CT) certification and GE CT experience for a 13-week contract in a fast-paced imaging department.

The role requires ARRT CT and BLS certification, 2+ years CT experience, GE CT experience, and imaging proficiency with Epic EMS, RIS, and PACS. Travel assignments include on-site duties at a 35-bed facility in NC with 10-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• ARRT (R)(CT) certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• License required if applicable.
• Minimum 2 years of CT experience required.
• GE CT experience required.
• Ability to prioritize and coordinate exams by acuity, including Code Strokes.
• Knowledge of post‑processing exams required.
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration.
• At least 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN.

Responsibilities

• 35-bed community hospital with ED, ICU, Med/Tele, and Labor/Delivery units.
• Not a trauma, teaching, chest pain, or stroke‑accredited facility.
• CT department averages 30 studies on weekdays and 14 on weekends, including scheduled outpatients.
• Serves ED, inpatient, observation, and outpatient patients.
• 10-hour day shifts, Monday-Thursday, 0700-1730.
• No floating required.
• No weekend rotation or on-call requirements.
• Uses Epic EMR, Epic Radiant RIS, and Philips iSite PACS.
• Department equipment includes GE Revolution Apex and Bayer MedRad dual-head contrast injector.
• Perform routine and STAT CT exams for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency patients in a fast‑paced imaging environment.
• Administrative onboarding includes Epic and eLearning training on day one, with department‑specific training for the remainder of the first week.
• Travelers will work holidays that fall within their assigned schedule.
• RTO requests require manager approval.
• Black scrub color required.
• Free parking available.
• First‑time travelers will be considered.
• Radius rule requires candidates to live more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted.
• Returning employees must be separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year after working a permanent position.
