Requirements include Graduation from an approved Radiologic Technology program, MA Radiologic and CT Technologist license, ARRT CT certification, 2–3 years radiology experience (CT preferred), exceptional patient communication and analytical skills, and a 12-hour shift pattern with Friday days and weekend coverage for a 13-week

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Current Massachusetts State Radiologic and CT Technologist license.
• ARRT registered in CT or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of Radiologic Technologist experience, at least 1 year in CT.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for patient communication.
• Strong analytical abilities in imaging processes.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment and obtain diagnostic images per protocols.
• Prepare, position, and immobilize patients with shielding as needed.
• Explain procedures and address patient needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct.
• Calibrate and verify equipment, report malfunctions.
• Manage RIS paperwork and transfer images to PACS.
• Perform venipuncture for contrast under radiologist directions.
• Attend staff meetings and maintain CEU requirements.
• Oversee and mentor department personnel and students.
• Prepare equipment and supplies for exams and daily use.
• Engage in QA and research initiatives.
• Transport patients according to protocol.
• Demonstrate initiative under pressure during exams.
