American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a teaching hospital's Radiology department, requiring ARRT (CT) certification and at least 2 years of current CT experience.

Requirements

• Must perform IV insertion and injections as part of diagnostic imaging tasks
• Skills checklist for CT current within 1 year required for consideration
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Radiology department position, primarily CT with X-ray responsibilities also required
• 298-bed teaching hospital with a full continuum of medical specialties
• 8-hour afternoon shift, Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-11:30 PM
• Weekend and holiday coverage required if needed
• On-call possible
• Uses PACS, HIS, RIS, CR, DR, and CT applications
• Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred
• Perform a wide variety of technical CT and X-ray procedures requiring independent judgment and critical thinking
• May be assigned independent responsibilities by Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, Operations Manager, or Facility Director
• May supervise or instruct department personnel as determined by Manager or Director
• Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, including use of Tiger Text
• Practices infection control in compliance with departmental, hospital, and OSHA standards
• Maintains patient confidentiality and department competencies
• Completes annual mandatory education including bloodborne pathogens and infection control training
• Candidates must have their own vehicle for this assignment
• Does not accept candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility
• No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted, and all requests must be submitted at time of profile submission
