Responsibilities include CT, portable x-ray and general x-ray exams with a daily caseload of 1 CT, 2 portables, and 1 x-ray room per tech. Requires 1+ year experience and ARRT CT certification; NV license (pending accepted). First-time travelers welcome.

Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a critical access hospital, requiring 1+ year of experience and both CT and general x-ray proficiency.

Details

• Critical access hospital with 23 staffed beds
• Performs CT, portable x-ray, and general x-ray exams
• Daily caseload of 1 CT, 2 portables, and 1 x-ray room per tech
• Average of 15 patients per day across CT and x-ray modalities
• Patient population includes pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric cases
• Handles trauma and general CT cases, excluding CTA hearts and brain perfusion
• 4x10 hour day shifts, Friday-Monday, 10:00-20:00
• Floats within scope between CT and general x-ray to meet facility needs
• No floating to sister facilities
• No on-call requirement, but willingness to be on-call is noted as a plus
• Uses Epic for charting and GE equipment

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience required
• ARRT or ARRT Advanced Certification required
• CT Advanced Certification required
• BLS certification requiredNevada state license required (pending license accepted); license required if applicable
• Experience with pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Epic and GE experience preferred
• Skilled in abdomen, pelvis, chest, and spine/musculoskeletal CT imaging with and without contrast
• Experience with CT arthrography and vascular CTA preferred
• Proficient in contrast media preparation and administration
• Skilled in starting peripheral IVs
• Experience using PACS
