Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for an acute care Radiology department requiring 1+ years of experience and ARRT certification.

• Acute care CT department with 3 scanners at one site and 1 scanner at a second site
• Patient population includes emergency and routine outpatient imaging studies
• Average of 150 scans/studies performed per day across the department
• Equipment includes GE and Siemens scanners at one site and Canon at the other
• EMR/PACS used is Meditech Expanse with Philips PACS
• 4x10 day shifts with varied daylight and afternoon start times
• Weekend rotation every other weekend with optional holiday coverage
• No floating to other departments required
• No call or standby requirements
• Radiologist available in-house

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a CT Technologist
• ARRT certification required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• License required if applicable
• Must be able to start IVs
• GE or Siemens scanner experience required at one site; Canon experience required at the other site

Additional Information

• Perform CT imaging for emergency and routine outpatient studies
• Daylight shift typically has a Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech present
• RRAs are not utilized in this department
• Approximately one week of unit-specific orientation provided
• Scrubs are not provided; any color except purple is permitted
• Local candidates are not accepted; radius rules apply (50-100 miles depending on facility)
• Returning travelers must observe a 2-year break before reapplying, with a 1-year cumulative work limit at WVU facilities
• Some former perm staff may be ineligible to return as travelers at certain facilities
