The position is 40 hours per week on days, with a 6-week duration and a potential to float between facilities. BLS is required and Epic EMR experience is preferred.

• Utilize CT equipment and EMR systems for imaging and documentation.
• Provide patient care in adult acute care, outpatient, ED, and ICU settings.
• Follow radiation safety protocols and PPE requirements.
• Potentially float between facilities within the health system as needed.

Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with ARRT (CT) certification and 2+ years of CT experience for a 6-month day shift assignment.

Details

• Adult acute care, adult outpatient, emergency department, and ICU settings
• Level I and Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
• Performs abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and chest CT studies with and without contrast
• Special procedures may include coronary CTA, vascular CTA, CT arthrography, and brain perfusion
• Utilizes Siemens CT equipment and Epic EMR
• Image display and post-processing skills including 3D rendering, MPR, and ROI measurement
• 5x8 hour day shifts from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
• Weekend rotation required
• May be subject to floating between facilities within the health system if requested by the unit

Requirements

• ARRT (CT) and ARRT (R) certification required
• IEMA accreditation required
• BLS certification through AHA required
• Minimum 2 years of CT experience required
• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program
• BSN required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Illinois license required if applicable, in hand at time of consideration - emergency or pending licenses not accepted
• Experience with contrast media preparation and administration, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture required
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred

• Responsible for isolation precautions/PPE compliance and radiation safety protocols
• Prior travel experience required
• Accepts local candidates within a 75-mile radius at a local rate
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration and cannot be added afterward
