Requires ARRT-CT, ARRT-R, BLS, and Illinois license (or in process). At least 2 years of CT experience and proficiency in coronary CTA, 3D rendering, and post-processing are expected.

• Coronary CTA experience required.
• Proficiency in 3D rendering, MRP, ROI measurement.
• PPE, contrast administration, radiation safety, IVs.

Description

American Traveler is hiring a night shift CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a Level I trauma center offering diverse CT modalities including coronary CTA and advanced image post-processing.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting including Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, ICU, and Emergency Department
• Level I trauma center
• 3x12 hour night shifts, 18:30-07:00
• Weekends as needed, no call required
• Cerner charting system, experience preferred
• No floating required within scope of practice

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
• ARRT-CT, ARRT-R, and BLS certifications required
• Active Illinois state license required (or must be in application process with ETA); license required if applicable
• Experience with Abdomen/Pelvis CT with and without contrast
• Experience with Chest CT and vascular chest imaging (PE, CTA, aorta) with and without contrast
• Experience with Head and Neck CT including carotid, sinuses, soft tissue neck, and trauma head
• Experience with Spine and Musculoskeletal CT including cervical, thoracic, lumbar, and MSK trauma
• Coronary CTA experience required
• Proficiency with 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction (MRP), and ROI measurement
• Skilled in isolation precautions/PPE, contrast media preparation/administration, radiation safety, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture
• Teaching hospital and Level I trauma experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted

Additional Information

• Magnet-designated, Level I trauma acute care hospital with 562 staffed beds
• Scrubs may be any solid color
• Free parking permit provided, arranged during orientation
• Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
• Previous perm or PRN employees must be separated from the facility for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
• Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays
• Up to 5 non-holiday RTO days may be auto-approved; additional time off requires manager discussion
• Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities
