Job Description

The CT Technologist independently performs imaging procedures utilizing established scan protocols and adjusts them as necessary for optimal diagnostic results. This role involves utilizing complex imaging equipment to acquire, analyze, reconstruct, and document image data as per department protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform computed tomography procedures and administer contrast as per physician orders and departmental policy.
• Demonstrate proper venipuncture technique and the use of power injectors according to established protocols.
• Assess patients for potential risk factors before administering contrast media.
• Communicate effectively with patients and staff, providing clear instructions and alleviating patient fears.
• Utilize two patient identifiers to ensure proper patient identification and follow universal protocols during procedures.
• Document patient history in the electronic record as required and ensure exams are properly coded and tracked.

Required Experience

2 years of experience in a related imaging role is required.
