Job Description

As a CT Technologist, you will independently perform imaging procedures, competently executing a variety of technical processes that require independent judgment and initiative. Your role will involve utilizing complex imaging equipment for acquiring, analyzing, reconstructing, and documenting image data in accordance with established scan protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform computed tomography procedures, adjusting protocols as necessary for optimal diagnostic results.
• Demonstrate proper technique in venipuncture and use of power injectors as per departmental protocol.
• Administer PO, rectal, and IV contrast per physician orders while assessing patients for potential risk factors.
• Maintain effective communication with patients to alleviate their concerns and ensure cooperation.
• Utilize two patient identifiers and implement universal protocol when performing procedures.
• Document patient history in electronic records as required and ensure exams are coded and tracked properly.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.

Certifications / Licensure

• ARRT Certificate.
• Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Compliance with PA Act 31, 33, 34, and 73.
• CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of the primary registry or date of hire.
