• May float to nearby clinics as needed by the department.

Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and Siemens equipment proficiency for a 13-week night shift assignment at a Level I Trauma Center teaching hospital.

Details

• Night shift schedule of 3x12 hours, Friday-Sunday (7p-7a), with start times potentially varying +/- 2 hours based on department needs
• No on-call requirement
• Holiday coverage required based on unit need, which may include days outside the regular contracted schedule
• May be required to float to a nearby clinic location approximately half a mile from the main facility
• Uses Siemens CT equipment and Epic EMR

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist
• BLS, ARRT(R), and ARRT(CT) certification required
• Active Virginia state license required; any active state license in hand is accepted while VA licensure processes - license required if applicable
• Epic charting experience required
• Siemens CT equipment experience required
• Previous travel assignment experience required
• Skilled in preparation and/or administration of contrast media
• Knowledge of radiation safety protocols
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred

Additional Information

• Work in an acute care teaching hospital that is a Level I Trauma Center, Magnet-designated, and certified stroke center with over 700 licensed beds
• Perform CT imaging across abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine, and musculoskeletal studies with 3D rendering and post-processing
• Experience with special procedures such as biopsies, aspirations, CTA studies, and drainage preferred
• All RTO requests must be submitted upfront with application
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Previous employees must have a minimum one-year break before returning as a traveler
