Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring ARRT (CT) certification and Siemens equipment experience.

Details

• Level I Trauma teaching hospital setting
• CT Tech unit supporting Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, Emergency Department, and Pediatric Acute Care
• Performs abdomen, pelvis, chest, head and neck, cervical, lumbar, thoracic spine, and musculoskeletal trauma CT studies
• Performs special procedures including brain perfusion, CT colonography, CT arthrography, transplant studies, and vascular CTA
• Uses Siemens CT equipment, PACS, and Epic EMR
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Candidates will float within scope as needed

Requirements

• ARRT (R)(CT), ARRT (R), and BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Minimum of 2 years of experience required, including Siemens equipment experience without a lapse in use
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• BSN preferred
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Experience with peripheral IV starts and contrast media preparation/administration preferred
• 2 professional references required at supervisor level or above
• SSN and DOB required at time of submission

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include performing CT imaging studies with and without contrast across multiple specialties
• Candidates should outline shift availability at the time of consideration
• Locals accepted at the same base rate with no radius restrictions
• Both travelers and permanent staff must be separated from VCU Health for 12 months before returning as a traveler
• Facility maintains a natural nail policy
• Facility is a drug, tobacco, and smoke-free workplace
• ER and Psych candidates must undergo fingerprinting per Virginia law, with results taking 15-20 business days; candidates cannot start with results pending
• All candidates complete required orientation modules through the VCU Learning Exchange, to be finished by the end of orientation week
• RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration and are subject to manager approval; no time off granted during the first week of assignment
• Background checks will be reviewed by the facility
