Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Travel CT Technologist to perform imaging in a high-acuity environment in Austin, TX. The candidate will conduct CT scans primarily focused on stroke and trauma patients, working 36 hours a week with a rotating night shift.

• Schedule: 3×12 hour shifts
• Locations: Acute Care Hospital Imaging Department in Austin, TX; flexible to float to Free‑Standing Emergency Departments (FSEDs) as needed
• Equipment: Primarily GE

Job Description

Perform CT imaging for a high‑acuity patient population with emphasis on stroke and trauma cases. Operate in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of CT technologist experience; allied candidates must have active experience within the last 6 months
• ARRT certified with CT modality certification
• Active Texas Medical Board (TMB) license if applicable
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) that does not expire within the first 30 days of the contract start date
• Experience with stroke and trauma imaging
• Ability to thrive in a high‑acuity, fast‑paced setting
• SSN (US only) and date of birth required for application
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Requirements

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
• Scrub color requirement: olive top and black pants
• Ideal candidates are calm, professional, strong team players, and flexible with a positive attitude
