Qualifications

• Eighteen months prior experience in a health care setting as a CT Tech.
• ARRT (CT) or ASRT certification is required.
• Most states require licensure for CT technologists.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images for diagnosis.
• Position patients and ensure immobilization and safety during scans.
• Set controls, monitor equipment, and adjust as needed for quality images.
• Assist radiologists with imaging procedures and IVs/contrast administration when applicable.
• Schedule patients and support clerical tasks; document procedures and charges.
