Job summary

Supplemental Health Care is seeking a CT Technologist for a travel assignment in Bakersfield, CA. The 13-week contract offers 36 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts, and a travel role designed for experienced CT professionals.

Qualified candidates will hold an ARRT CT certification or be eligible, with 1–2 years CT experience and an accredited radiologic technology degree. BLS is required, ACLS preferred, and licensure as applicable in California.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiography (R); ARRT (CT) certification preferred.
• Active state radiologic technologist license (if applicable).
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association; ACLS preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist; prior CT imaging experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and CT imaging protocols.

Responsibilities

• Using CT equipment to capture diagnostic images.
• Sterilizing radiologic equipment to ensure patient safety.
• Explaining scanning procedures to patients.
• Ensuring patient safety and comfort, including radiation protection practices.
• Evaluating CT scans for technical quality.
