Qualifications

Job description

Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: WEEKENDDAYS - 9A-9P - FRI, SAT, SUN

NO CALL REQUIRED

REQUIREMENTS (American Heart Association (AHA) Approved Certifications):

• ARRT
• BLS
• TMB RAD TECH LIC
• 2 YEARS CT EXPERIENCE IN ACUTE CARE SETTING
• SCRUBS - ANY SOLID COLOR

Travelers must be greater than 50 miles from the facility.

The CT Technologist is a graduate of an accredited AMA school and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). The Technologist is licensed by the state as a general radiographer and is responsible for providing timely diagnostic services to both inpatients and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. The performance of basic radiographic procedures
2. Fluoroscopy
3. Portable radiographic procedures
4. C-arm procedures
5. OR imaging services

The CT Technologist demonstrates proficiency in routine diagnostic CT scanning procedures, including but not limited to:

• CT of head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis, extremities
• Biopsy and drainage procedures

Responsibilities also include knowledge of processing CT systems, surgical/sterile procedures, studies with or without contrast media, and cross-sectional anatomy.
