Munson Healthcare in Traverse City, MI is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our internal traveler team. Work where others vacation with flexible and seasonal assignments, collaborating with surgeons, PAs, and nurses to support outstanding patient care.

As a member of the OR team you will prepare operating rooms for upcoming surgeries, sterilize equipment, stock supplies, and ensure patient readiness. You will join a well-developed system dedicated to excellence in care.

Qualifications

• Graduation of an approved Surgical Technology Training Program or Licensed Practical Nurse with previous scrub experience.
• BLS
• Surgical Technologist certification (C.S.T. or N.C.C.T)

• As a member of the OR team, you will work with many specialty surgeons, their physician assistants and advanced practice registered nurses, all striving to provide excellent patient care in a dynamic environment.
• Prepare the operating room for upcoming surgeries.
• Sterilize equipment and stock up any necessary supplies.
• Prepare patients for their procedures.
• Sterilize equipment and hands surgeons instruments upon request.
• Order and take inventory of supplies and maintain files and records of procedures
