American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a Level IV Trauma Center OR position requiring scrub experience in GYN, ortho, and general surgery cases. The 13-week contract in a 14-OR hospital emphasizes a high-volume environment with DaVinci XI robotic support and EPIC EMR usage.

Requirements include BLS, graduation from an accredited surgical technology program, and 2–3 years OR experience (3+ for travelers). On-call weekends and weeknights are required.

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program required.
• CST certification preferred.
• License required if applicable.
• Minimum 2–3 years of OR experience; 3+ years for first-time travelers.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• Scrub experience in GYN, ortho, and general surgery.
• DaVinci XI robotic experience required.

Responsabilidades

• 13-week contract in a hospital Surgery Room with 14 ORs.
• Level IV Trauma Center environment with NICU and stroke center.
• 228-bed facility handling 20-23 cases per day.
• Top case types include ortho, GYN, general surgery; plus bariatrics, plastics, and urology.
• No neuro, complicated spine, or baby deliveries.
• 10-hour day shifts, Mon-Fri 0630-1500, based on schedule.
• On-call rotation for weekends and weeknights, ~7–8 days every 2 months.
• 1 holiday coverage per contract.
• Uses EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis, and iStat.
• Support surgical cases across general, bariatric, ortho, plastics, urology, and GYN.
• Work with Charge RN, OR Educator, surgeons, and anesthesia team.
• 3–5 days of orientation including unit orientation with a preceptor.
• Scrubs are provided.
• Free parking available.
• RTO approval up to 7 days.
• Local candidates accepted at same rate; no radius rules.
• Former Advocate Health employees must be separated at least 12 months to be eligible for travel assignments.
