Job summary

IBI Clinic in Tampa, FL and Hudson, FL seeks a Pro Re Nata Certified Surgical Technologist to join our perioperative team. You will support surgeons, prepare the operating room, maintain sterile technique, and ensure smooth case flow across multiple Florida locations.

Qualified candidates are CST graduates with current certification and BLS/ACLS. Travel within 20-30 miles is required, and a collaborative, patient-focused approach is essential for exceptional care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited CST program with current certification.
• Hands-on experience with surgical instrumentation.
• Current BLS or ACLS certification.
• Willingness to travel within 20-30 miles to Tampa, Hudson, and future Florida locations.
• Strong sterile technique and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Function under the direction of the registered professional nurse to assist in safe and effective patient care.
• Prepare the operative suite and surgical field while maintaining sterile field protocols.
• Gather required instruments, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team for efficient workflow.
• Exhibit expertise in progressively complex surgical cases and develop additional skills over time.
• Troubleshot instruments and equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance surgical outcomes.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, and stocking of surgical supplies in the ASC and other perioperative areas.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and best practices.
