Job summary

Focus Staff is seeking a travel Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Location: Baton Rouge, LA. Shift: 12 hour nights, 36 hours per week. Travel employment with benefits including health insurance and 401K matching.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, providing respiratory care for critical cases, managing endotracheal tubes, documentation, quality improvement, and patient/family counseling. Start date is 11/23/2026 for a 13-week assignment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Respiratory Therapist.
• Maintain current CPR/BCLS certification.
• ACLS, PALS, NALS, or NRP preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients and families.

• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Performing timely and accurate documentation.

Requirements

• Proven experience as Repertory Therapist
• Maintain current CPR or BCLS certification.
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS, or NRP preferred
• Excellent communication skills with the staff, physicians, patients and families

Work Experience: At least 2 years of experience

Responsibilities:

• Evaluating patient and recommends a treatment plan
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
