Job summary

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
• Assist surgeons, nurses, and other members of the surgical team during operations.
• Maintain sterile technique and follow infection prevention and safety protocols.
• Pass surgical instruments and supplies to surgeons and staff as needed.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures.
• Assist with patient positioning and preparation for surgery.
• Perform surgical counts of instruments, sponges, needles, and other supplies.
• Clean, disinfect, and restock operating rooms after procedures.
• Handle surgical instruments and equipment properly.
• Follow hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Communicate effectively with surgical and healthcare teams.
• Provide safe, efficient, and compassionate support in the Operating Room.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures

• Assist surgeons, nurses, and other members of the surgical team during operations

• Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection prevention and safety protocols

• Pass surgical instruments and supplies to surgeons and surgical staff as needed

• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team throughout procedures
