Job summary

Travel Chaps is expanding and seeks an experienced Travel Consultant to join the Lincoln store. The role requires a minimum of two years' travel industry sales experience and a passion for crafting memorable itineraries for luxury and bespoke holidays.

You will build relationships with clients, convert enquiries to bookings, and manage the client journey from first contact to next trip. The position offers flexible hybrid working and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years sales experience in travel industry.
• Strong worldwide destination knowledge and ability to convert enquiries to bookings.
• Excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Craft itineraries across the globe for families and couples; including honeymoons, tailor-made packages, city breaks, cruises.
• Arrange and book a wide range of luxury holidays and travel extras.
• Bring in new clients and bookings, including attending events and trade fairs to increase exposure.
• Manage the client journey from start to next booking.
• Offer a concierge level of client service.
• Convert incoming enquiries to sales/bookings.

Agents your time has come because an exciting opportunity has arisen in a dynamic and forward-thinking travel company, Travel Chaps, for an experienced Travel Consultant due to success and expansion. Travel Chaps is not your usual Travel Agent, as we offer a wide range of holiday types across the globe to travellers from luxury tailor made travel to all bespoke inclusive packages. This role is ideal for an existing travel consultant from a tour operator or travel agency, and must come with 2 years Travel Consultant experience.

This role will require working in the Lincoln Store and can be on a part time or a full time basis. Please note the role will not be suitable for a new to industry hire.

As a Travel Consultant your Duties will include:

• Crafting inspiring itineraries across the globe for families and couples; including honeymoons, tailormade, touring, city breaks, cruises, and bespoke packages
• Arranging and booking a wide range of luxury holiday types, travel extras including tours, airport lounges, car hire, etc
• Bringing in new clients and bookings, including attending events and trade fairs to increase exposure
• Managing the client journey from start to next booking
• Offering a concierge level of client service
• Converting incoming enquiries to sales/bookings

To be successful as a Travel Consultant you will need:

• Must have a minimum of 2 years sales experience within the travel industry; either from a travel agency or tour operator with strong worldwide destination knowledge
• Able to build a positive rapport with customers, with a track record of converting enquiries to bookingsExcellent communication skills and a positive attitude
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
